Homework Policy
Homework Policy/Grading Policy
Daily- Monday-Thursday- We check the homework each day.
1.) Planner checked and signed-Homework and upcoming events are written on planner and assignments and parents sign on bottom of the page. On the planner you will see a stamp indicating that we saw your signature.
2.) Reading Log signed- Read daily and record pages read and parent signature. You will see a check by that day to see that we checked it.
3.) Math homework- The amount of pages may vary depending on how many problems there are on one page. We will check the homework the next morning. No late work accepted unless we have made an arrangement.
4.) Spelling- The students learn 10 spelling words each day and they practice 10 words each night and complete 1 activity each night. It needs to be a different activity each night. PLEASE WRITE EACH SPELLING ASSIGNMENT ON A DIFFERENT PAGE AND WRITE DOWN THE DATE. YOU CAN USE THE BACK OF A PAPER. You shouldn’t be doing all of the spelling in one night. It has been proven that practicing daily helps with the retention. If the student misses spelling words on the Pre Test they will need to write each word eight times. The students should be all prepared for the Spelling Pre Test and have the assignments completed.
5.) Every Wednesday there will be leadership homework. Please turn it in by Friday.
*You can take out old work if it has check marks or stamps on it. If you see a remark that says please fix write fixed on top when completed.
- I want you to know that I love teaching your children and I know they each have tremendous potential. I am so excited that they each have the opportunity to learn how to be a leader at this young age.
