It’s a great day to be alive!

We have had two weeks and I feel so blessed to be getting to know your children.  We will continue to learn Solfege in the coming week and we will start to learn to military anthems in preparation for the Veteran’s assembly in November.

In September we will start preparing for the Christmas concert.  I have extended an invitation to the 6th graders to help write, direct and conduct the concert.  I feel that they have become leaders and would love to see them experience music as they choose.  They are required to show leadership behavior during class and although they do not have to sing at the concert, they will still be learning and practicing the song during class.  Please save the date of December 10th so all the students can be there to participate.  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

We are in need of instruments that all students can play during class.  We have rhythm sticks and boomwhackers and will be using them to help the students learn how to read music, follow the beat and work together to create music.  If you have any extra instruments please contact me.

I will let you know, as soon as I hear from Mrs. Crane, whether or not she will be offering music lessons after school.

Thank you for visiting our music page.  Here I will post information about the concerts and things we will be learning in class.  Have a great day!
