Mr. Marc Duffin’s Math

Hi, I am your math teacher Mr. Duffin. Here is a little background on myself. This is my first year at American Leadership Academy. I am excited for the opportunity to teach such an amazing group of students this year. I had previously taught in Taiwan. The experience brought me a new cultural understanding and love for students worldwide. My alma mater is Mt. View High School and Arizona State University. I enjoy the sciences and math. My degree is in microbiology. I also have a love for history. My favorite historical period to study is the Civil War. I love exploring old buildings and discovering their historical past. I also love to broaden my horizons in different lands. I have lived in Japan and Taiwan. I speak both Japanese and Chinese. I will be excited to see where future travels take me. My family consists of myself, my wife Jennette, and my two boys. My wife has put up with me for 15 years and I look forward to many more. My boys are ages 10 and 9. We all live in Mesa and hike surrounding mountains as often as time permits. Our favorite mountains to hike are the Superstition Mountains.Perhaps one day we will find the Lost Dutchman’s Gold...
